If there is any way you guys can find out the cause for this weird crash and black screen glitch it would be much appreciated. Emulator for super mario 64 last impact code#So some change in the code has made this weird glitch not the ROM files themselves. Here is the project64 development builds site: Įven the latest version of Project64-Video doesn't have the ability to add Custom Windowed Resolutions like GlideN64 does and it still has the weird crash from frame buffer emulation and the black screen issue. Sadly there is no build between these so I don't know what code messed up the frame buffer emulation. So now the newest versions of Project64-Video don't even work because something was changed between the v2.4.0-509-g64bcfa1 built in 25th September 2017 and the v2.4.0-512-g8d60ef1 built in 26th September 2017. So all of the builds after the v2.4.0-509-g64bcfa1 built in 25th September 2017 have the same issues I am experiencing with GlideN64. So this signifies that it is not the ROM at fault. Because in Glide64 Final it would crash the rom if you had hardware frame buffer emulation on. It even runs with hardware frame buffer emulation which is very weird. Tracking down the cause I found out that the last build where everything works fine is the v2.4.0-509-g64bcfa1 built in 25th September 2017. But if frame buffer emulation is left on it crashes the rom with this message: In the newest version of Project64-Video v2.4.0-668-gc506db5 that was built in 2nd March 2018 there is the same black screen issue if you turn frame buffer emulation off. So since I am at a loss with GlideN64 I tried to solve the issue with Project64-Video. Is there any way you guys could make this happen? if you want to see the reason why I want Custom Windowed Resolutions refer to issue 1745: gonetz/GLideN64#1745. I think it would be a reasonable goal to include these in the old Glide64 Final plugin. Because there were some really great additions like Anti-aliasing, Internal Resolution Scaling, the new enhancement method 6xBRZ, and of course the most important of all Custom Windowed Resolutions. I wouldn't mind if you guys added all of the new graphic options to the old Glide64 Final plugin as well, if it's possible. Since we cannot play ROM hacks on GlideN64 because of the black screen issue and the black texture issues why not add custom windowed resolutions to the old Glide64 plugin? That way people who want Custom Windowed Resolutions can have them when playing ROM hacks. Was closed without much discussion and not solved in the GlideN64 plugin, I am offering a different solution. Similar to issue 525 in GlideN64: gonetz/GLideN64#525 I have already tried the recent WIP version of GlideN64 and it still doesn't work. I am running Project64 version 2.3.2.202 and I have the latest public Release of GlideN64 which is 3.0. Emulator for super mario 64 last impact software#If you added a software frame buffer emulation setting it would probably fix all rom hacks. It works in Glide64 Final because they use software frame buffer emulation. It is unplayable with the black textures though. But disabling Frame Buffer Emulation gets rid of the black screen. I have tried all of the settings inside Project64's graphics settings within GlideN64, nothing makes the black textures go away. I am trying to use the entirety of my screen in windowed mode while playing Super Mario Star Road. The reason I am using GlideN64 is because it is the only plugin that I know of that lets you make a custom windowed size. With new Super Mario 64 hacks on the rise, this should be fixed. It seems it has been an issue since 2015. This happens with almost all of the Super Mario 64 Rom hacks. Once I disable Frame Buffer Emulation I get this: Every time I try to run Super Mario Star Road in GlideN64 I get a completely black screen.
